The Illusion of Personal Development

Many embark on a journey of personal development, seeking self-improvement and a better life. However, often this pursuit becomes an exercise in circling around our own projections and a limited sense of self – our personality.

Many embark on a journey of personal development, seeking self-improvement and a better life. However, often this pursuit becomes an exercise in circling around our own projections and a limited sense of self – our personality. We become trapped in a loop, manipulated by our shadow self, the “Dr. Hyde” lurking beneath the surface.

The Dr. Jekyll Delusion

Those who identify solely with their “Dr. Jekyll” persona, the socially acceptable and polished version of themselves, remain blind to the true forces driving their actions. They lack the self-awareness necessary to correct the course of their lives, constantly reacting to the shadow self’s influence without understanding its origins.

The Gift of Crisis

From this perspective, a significant professional or life crisis can be a paradoxical gift. It shatters the carefully constructed facade of the “Dr. Jekyll” persona, forcing individuals to confront the shadow self they’ve long ignored. While potentially disruptive and even dangerous, such crises offer a path to liberation, cracking through the limitations of a superficial identity.

The Inner Hero

However, there’s a crucial missing piece: the understanding of the true inner hero. Carl Jung, while insightful, arguably missed this key element, inadvertently creating another intellectual framework, another “religion” of self-analysis.

The challenge, and the profound mystery, lies in recognizing and integrating the shadow self, but on God’s terms, not merely human terms. This journey of integration, undertaken through divine guidance, inevitably leads to a personal apocalypse—a shattering of the old self to make way for the new.

Beyond Human Illusions

At FTC Harvest, we offer a process that goes beyond the realm of human illusions, a path for those whose destiny calls them to something more. This journey delves deeper than personality, beyond the false duality of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
